A Definition Of Ethical Property Investment

and how that relates to sustainability and a profitable investment opportunity

My definition of ethical property development is really about creating solutions in property that include as many people as possible, to make it accessible to people that want to be part of our system, and not necessarily prescribing that everybody has to fit into that.

The breakdown in the social structure caused by our current housing solution,  3-4 bedroom houses in the suburbs –  is an important factor that need to change for sustainability to prevail.

Let me give you an example;

Statistics show that family structures are changing and there is a growing requirement for 1 and 2 bedroom properties. Our current aspirational model is the 3-4 bed home in the burbs however, not only has this become less desirable, it is by its very nature, creating a needless affordable housing crisis and the knock on effect on our communities is something that cannot be ignored.

I say cannot because, of course you can turn a blind eye to the situation but, at the end of the day it will affect you.

How?

If professional people, key workers such as teachers, , nurses, fire-fighters, paramedics and more are unable to find affordable accommodation in our communities – who will be able to provide these vital services? If shop assistants, restaurant and bar workers find it too pricey – who will fill their roles?

Without doubt – this issue affects us all.

At High Impact Property Investments, we have the creativity and skills in the property industry to be able to provide solutions and go some way to resolving this deficit through ethical property investment.

We sincerely believe it is a collective effort. And it’s not just about building the physical structures, it’s about helping people to rebuild, and love themselves again, and be able to contribute again
